The Jury

Meet the Creative Bureaucracy Festival Jury 2024!

THE CREATIVE BUREAUCRACY FESTIVAL JURY 2024

Since the festival’s conception our aim has always been to create a practice-focused programme that shines a light on the pioneers and unsung heroes working in and with public administrations. People, projects and ideas on a mission to change how old bureaucracies think, plan and act through creative problem-solving.

To find more of these hidden talents we introduced our annual Call for Participation. A call to all creative bureaucrats and their allies to nominate their ideas and have a chance to present them to a global community of fellow peers.

Since we are receiving an ever greater volume of brilliant submissions, we knew we needed support in selecting which to offer a stage as part of this year’s programming. So meet our Festival Jury!

About the Jury

Our Creative Bureaucracy Festival Jury consists of 12 longstanding supporters of the creative bureaucracy movement with a range of experiences of working both with and within public administrations across the globe. They are all striving to bring the festival’s vision to life and have contributed in the past as a partners, speakers, creative advisors, side-event organisers, award winners or community acclaim.

The jury will be responsible for making a selection of submissions for presentation at our Digital Kick-Off Day on 21 March (online) – our first event in 2024 to start the celebration of public sector innovation.

Their selection will also feed into which of the submissions are then selected for our in-person event live in Berlin on 13 June, alongside a live community voting.

The judging process will consider the uniqueness and creativity of the approach, the demonstrated relevance and impact of the project, the structure and storytelling of the presentation, and several diversity considerations to ensure a balanced representation of submissions. The jury’s selection will reflect the proposals received. With our annual Call for Participation we ask you to help us spread the word to reach as many brilliant creative bureaucrats as possible!
