The Digital Kick-Off marked the start of the Creative Bureaucracy Festival year. From 3–5 March 2026, public servants, innovators, and changemakers from around the world came together online for three days of Project Showcases and digital workshops. As a free global event, the Digital Kick-Off highlighted practical examples of creative bureaucracy in action and set the tone for the festival programme leading into the live event in Berlin in June.

The Digital Kick-Off featured a curated selection of interactive online workshops in German and English. These sessions focused on hands-on exchange, practical tools, and shared learning, offering participants the opportunity to dive deeper into methods, challenges, and experiences from across the public sector.

Project Showcases & Community Voting
Discover innovative approaches to public sector transformation from the DACH region and around the world. Participants watched short project videos, explored bold ideas in action, and voted for the projects they wanted to see live at the Creative Bureaucracy Festival. Two projects – one German-language and one English-language – were selected through community voting and invited to present on 11 June in Berlin.
