Creative Bureaucracy Festival Award – Mariana Mazzucato

Mariana Mazzucato is being honoured and given the ‘Mobilizing Momentum’ award  for her work on reshaping how governments understand their role in society. Her influential writings have helped give confidence to politicians and public administrations to move from merely fixing markets to actively shaping and co-creating them. In the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose she founded its programmes connects theory and practice. She has had a significant influence on contemporary European innovation and industrial policy, especially through the idea of mission-oriented innovation policy, while her latest work on the Common Good Economy offers a bold framework linking economics, public value and place-making.
