Raj is a visionary leader in market-making and capital markets finance innovation with over 25 years of experience in senior roles at top global banks. He has overseen more than $8 billion in structured finance securitizations and derivatives, managing notional exposures exceeding $400 billion. Raj pioneered climate-risk mitigation strategies and created new markets for hedge fund strategies. At Deutsche Bank, he enhanced capabilities in alternative assets, structured financing, and securitizations. As head of the Structured Funds & Derivatives Group and later the Financial Institution Risk Advisory Group, he expanded innovative financial products and complex derivatives, cementing the bank’s leading position. Now, Raj leads Dm Capital Systems and Investments at Dark Matter Labs, focusing on Transition Finance. He structures Transition Funds for Decarbonisation, Energy Transition, and River Restoration Financing, creating financial instruments for sustainable development goals. Beyond his roles at banks and Dark Matter Labs, Raj consults for UNDP, developing a Systems Finance Facility to support Africa Minigrids, including Debt for Nature and Debt for Renewable Energy Swaps.
