Mariana Costa is a Brazilian designer and currently a Futures Fellow at UNDP. Her work sits at the intersection of foresight, sustainability, and speculative design. She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design from Kingston University London and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She is a recipient of the Chevening and Science Without Borders scholarships, funded by the British and Brazilian governments, respectively.

She contributed to the compilation of "Futures of Brazil: Signals of Transformation", a joint initiative by UNDP, UNDP Brazil, and the Brazilian Government, which includes the Futures Served game as part of its output.
