Professor Chien-Liang Lee, Dr. jur., Göttingen University, Germany, is Distinguished Research Professor and Director at the Institutum Iurisprudentiae, Academia Sinica and Professor of Law at National Taiwan University (NTU). His main fields of research include constitutional law, administrative law, environmental protection and technology law. He was awarded Dr. Hu Shih Memorial Chair Professorship in Academia Sinica in 2012, the Outstanding Research Award in 2013 from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and received the Outstanding Research Award in 2022 from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). He also served as Disciplinary Convenor of Law in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at MOST from 2017 to 2020. He is currently the Principal Investigator for the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) interdisciplinary research project “In the Age of AI: Reflections on the Humanities and the Rule of Law in the Digital Society”, and has established a website (https://ai.iias.sinica.edu.tw/) as a platform for facilitating academic communication from relevant fields. He is also participating in International Workshop: E-Justice, Information Technology, and Human Rights (2023) led by Professor Masahisa Deguchi, and JST Moonshot Research Project on “Self-information Control” led by Professor Tatsuhiko Yamamoto.
