Annamaria Talone

Annamaria Talone currently coordinates the city network “Artisti per il Matta” at Spazio Matta in Pescara, a project regenerating a former slaughterhouse into a cultural hub. Theater curator, she collaborated with important companies in Italy and abroad, dedicating herself to the promotion of contemporary theater through festivals and reviews. Interested in the relationship between theater and social dynamics, she developed interventions aimed at the immaterial well-being of communities, including serving as artistic coordinator of Popstars (selected in the call “Giovani energie in Comune” – promoted by ANCI and the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers). She also served as the Italian coordinator of The Magdalena Project, an international network supporting women in theater.

At Spazio Matta, she also curates the theater program “Matta in Scena,” with a focus on audience development and community engagement. She followed projects such as #Mattatexture (“Laboratorio Creatività Contemporanea” – DGCC - MiC, 2022) and “Television Seen from Cinema” (Cinema Periferie DGCC – MiC, 2018), emphasizing participation and social impact.
