This year at the Hertie School: The Young Bureaucrats Event 2025
The administration of tomorrow begins with your ideas!
On 4 June 2025, we are celebrating a premiere: for the first time, the Young Bureaucrats Event will take place as part of the Creative Bureaucracy Festival at the Hertie School in Berlin. Young talents (students, apprentices, and young professionals under 35) will gather to collaboratively design the administration of tomorrow.
This year's focus is on the impulses of the "Initiative for an Effective State." This initiative has developed concrete proposals for a modern, efficient administration – many of which have already been included in the coalition agreement of the Federal Government. At the Young Bureaucrats Event, we aim to discuss, further develop, and add new perspectives to these recommendations.
What does a high-performing state really need today? How can we achieve good legislation? How can we strengthen trust in government actions? And what kind of administrative culture do we need for the future?
In parallel workshops and open discussions, we will work together to find answers – creatively, solution-oriented, and open to new ways of thinking.
Who can take part?
- Students, apprentices, and young professionals under 35 years old are invited
- Participation is free of charge – registration by 15 May 2025
