Creative Bureaucracy Goes Regional
The Creative Bureaucracy spirit is expanding beyond Berlin. On 26 March 2026, the first-ever regional edition of the Creative Bureaucracy Festival will take the stage in Dresden: the Creative Bureaucracy Townhall Saxony.
Hosted at the Kraftwerk Mitte in Dresden and organised by the Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e.V. and HSF Meißen as part of the 4transfer innovation network, this premiere event brings the festival's mission — showcasing excellent, creative solutions for public sector challenges — directly into the Free State of Saxony. The event takes place under the patronage of Michael Kretschmer, Minister President of Saxony.
What to Expect
Like the Berlin festival, the Townhall Saxony puts outstanding public sector innovations on stage and invites participants to engage with the people behind them. Following a competitive Open Call that ran from September 2025 through January 2026, the favourite projects selected by the jury will pitch live on stage. A jury will choose the winning project on the day — and the prize is an exclusive stage slot at the Creative Bureaucracy Festival in Berlin on 11 June 2026, offering Germany-wide visibility.

The Townhall Saxony jury brings together diverse perspectives on public sector innovation:
