Global Call for Participation 2027 · Project Showcase
Share what you are changing
Changing how public administration works? Share your project, what you have learned and what others could take forward.
Project Showcase
Have you found a new way to deliver a service, simplify a process or bring people together across public institutions? Share your project and the experience behind it.
We welcome practical innovations at every level of government, from small municipalities to national institutions. Whether you are improving an everyday process or driving broader change, tell us what you tried, what happened and what others could learn. We look forward to your submission!
Selected projects will be presented at the Creative Bureaucracy Festival on 3 June 2027 in Berlin, as part of our tenth anniversary edition.
Frequently Asked Questions
An ongoing or recently completed project that puts creative and experimental approaches to public administration into practice. This could involve services, technology, leadership, organisational culture, public participation or collaboration across institutions and sectors.
Projects that encountered difficulties are also welcome, provided they offer meaningful lessons.
Public institutions, publicly owned companies, non-profits, civil society organisations and other project teams can apply. Public servants must be actively involved.
Private-sector applicants must apply in partnership with and be represented by a public-sector organisation. Please name your partner and describe their involvement.
Your project must be currently running or have been completed within the past five years. Implementation must have begun, with experience or early results to share.
If your idea has not yet been put into practice, consider the Moonshot Ideas category.

Submit your entry through our application platform by 11 December 2026. You may submit up to two proposals across the call, in English or German.
German-language Project Showcase submissions may be translated into English for review by the international jury. Keep your answers short and specific; bullet points are welcome.
Our team will review all entries and prepare a shortlist by the end of January 2027. An international jury will then select eight projects: four from the DACH region and four from other countries.
The results will be announced in early March 2027. Final selection also considers the programme’s balance across regions, topics and levels of government.
You will present your project in Berlin on 3 June 2027. Our programme team will discuss the format with you and provide guidance on timing, materials and deadlines.
Be ready to explain the challenge, your approach and what others can take away, including what you would do differently.
Our programme team will support you in preparing your contribution. Travel stipends are available for one representative per selected team. Details will be shared with selected participants.
