The Social Innovation Officer: a new Role for Public Sector Growth
This meetup builds on the experience of the first pilot course developed within the Erasmus+ project INSPIRE PA, implemented in Italy, Greece, and Romania. The project focuses on the development of a new professional role within public administration: the Social Innovation Officer. Starting from this experience, we will explore how social innovation can transform public administration by introducing new approaches, skills, and methodologies. The session will highlight how public sector organizations can become more adaptive, collaborative, and citizen-centered. Through the sharing of practical tools and training methods for public employees, participants will gain insights into how social innovation can be embedded into everyday practices. We will discuss how these approaches can reshape the design and delivery of public services, fostering more inclusive, effective, and responsive systems.
