Sissel Hansen

Sissel is the founder of Startup Guide, acclaimed for its ""Startup Guide"" series, launched in 2014 and now spanning 60+ cities globally. After studying briefly at Kaospilot in Aarhus, she dedicated herself to developing Startup Guide full-time, leading the business and team for the past decade.
In addition to Startup Guide, Sissel has co-founded Impact the Future, an Action-Tank working to accelerate the adoption of sustainable solutions by harnessing the power of cities.
Sissel also served on various boards, including the government's green entrepreneurship council and the Danish Tech Startups association.
Sissel's achievements include a 2015 nomination for Female Entrepreneur of the Year, recognition as one of Denmark's promising young leaders, and acknowledgment for her influence in the Nordic technology and startup scene from 2016 to 2017 by The Nordic Web. In 2018, she was honored as the Nordic Ecosystem Hero by the Global Startup Awards and recognized as one of Europe's influential women in the startup and venture capital field by EU-Startups.
