Sheila Deegan

Sheila has worked in Government Administration at both local and national level for over 30 years, mostly in the area of Cultural Policy. At local level, her work included the delivery of Ireland's first National City of Culture in 2014 and at national level she is working on Creative Ireland, an all of government initiative in the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport. This Programme is primarily a wellbeing programme that aims to inspire and transform people, places and communities through participation in creative and cultural activity. Creative Ireland acts as a catalyst for a wide and diverse range of activity on the ground across Ireland and is demonstrating innovation in its integrative approach across Government Departments.
