Dr. Sharone April leads the governmental task force for digital transformation in local government, an inter-ministerial initiative of the National Digital Agency and the Ministry of Interior. In this role, she drives efforts to enhance digital capabilities in municipalities and improve services between central and local government. Previously, she was the Digital Leader at the Ministry of Interior. From 2015-2018, she managed the Municipal Innovation Team, established by Bloomberg Philanthropies, where she advised the mayor and city leadership on strategic urban challenges, fostering innovation in economic development, education, public space and social services. Sharone's experience also includes serving as a senior strategic consultant at 9Points, where she led the public sector division. She managed the private consumers' unit in Deltathree, a VOIP tech company, overseeing customer services, technical support, and sales operations in Israel and India. She holds a BA in Business Administration and Psychology, an MA in Organizational Sociology, and a doctorate from the Hebrew University, where her research focused on urban collaborative innovation.
