Rebecca Cordes

Rebecca Cordes has been Head of Strategy at the Goethe-Institut e.V. since October 2021.

With an academic background in humanities from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cultural Management from City University London, she worked for organisations such as Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, British Youth Opera and London Business School. 

Since joining the Goethe-Institut in 2008, she has been interested in combining robust management skills with a creative mindset inherent to cultural organisations. Her passion is understanding how organisations work and how to create sustainable change from within.
