Lisa Witter

Lisa Witter is a serial entrepreneur and behavioral science expert with a lifelong commitment to strengthening ethical, effective, and future-ready public leadership. She is the co-founder of Apolitical.co, the world’s largest peer-to-peer learning network for public servants—with over 300,000 members in 170 countries—named one of Fast Company’s Most Impactful Companies in the World. She also co-founded and serves as CEO of the Apolitical Foundation, soon to be renamed the Better Politics Foundation – Renewing Leadership. Reimagining Politics. The Foundation has helped spark 38 Political Leadership Incubators across 30 countries. Lisa helps governments navigate climate and emerging technology challenges while pioneering leadership innovations—such as the Political Leadership Impact Path—and co-leading the first global study on politicians’ mental well-being. A former public servant herself, she has advised CEOs, Nobel Peace Prize winners, philanthropists, and political leaders worldwide. She is also an author and regular public speaker, and for many years co-chaired the World Economic Forum’s Agile Governance Council, helping shape policy innovation on a global stage. She was awarded the 2020 Creative Bureaucracy Award and named a BMW Foundation Futurity Fellow in 2022. A World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, she currently serves on the board of Panorama Global and on the Impact Board of EQT, a leading global private equity firm.
