Florian Schwendinger

Florian Schwendinger, is a Policy Officer at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure working at the nexus of governance system innovation, evidence-informed policy and transformative innovation and research policy.

He designs and advises on the institutional conditions and approaches that help governance systems think, learn, and act more wisely and trustworthy.

He is also a thinker, designer and activist, in the field of Future of European Democracy with in-depth experience in EU policy and politics across the institutional landscape (European Parliament, European Commission JRC).

Florian Schwendinger ist Referent im österreichischen Bundesministerium für Innovation, Mobilität und Infrastruktur und arbeitet an der Schnittstelle zwischen Innovation von Governance-Systemen, evidenzbasierter Politik sowie transformativer Innovations- und Forschungspolitik.

Er konzipiert und berät zu institutionellen Rahmenbedingungen und Ansätzen, die dazu beitragen, dass Governance-Systeme klüger und vertrauenswürdiger denken, lernen und handeln.

Er ist zudem Denker, Gestalter und Aktivist im Bereich der Zukunft der europäischen Demokratie und verfügt über fundierte Erfahrung in der EU-Politik und im politischen Geschehen quer durch die institutionelle Landschaft (Europäisches Parlament, Gemeinsame Forschungsstelle der Europäischen Kommission).
