Florencia Gay coordinates the Innovative Cities Area at RIL - Local Innovation Network and manages the Ayni Local Innovators Program, a program that brings together, trains and accompanies more than 200 social entrepreneurs and local government officials from around the world every year to design impact initiatives that respond to the most urgent public challenges of cities.

Florencia studied Industrial Design at the University of Buenos Aires, a postgraduate degree in Local Development and Social Economy at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales, and a postgraduate degree in Non-Profit Management at the University of San Andrés. In the past she worked at MIT D-Lab and other grassroots organizations accompanying social innovation projects in Tanzania, Uganda and Argentina, and at the National Institute of Industrial Technology enhancing local local value chains.
