Csaba Gábor Pogonyi is Chief Policy Adviser to Deputy Mayor of Budapest responsible for Smart Cities. His primary responsibility is to set the direction of the smart city strategy and develop policies to implement it. Csaba has led the development of Budapest 2.0, a sustainable and inclusive long-term vision for Budapest. He has also been advising the Hungarian Momentum party on topics related to urban policies, city planning, transportation and energy. Casba holds a PhD in transport and urban economics from Imperial College London, where he specialised on the wider economic benefits of transportation. Prior to his PhD, he was a senior economist at MOL Group, Fortune 500 energy company. Csaba holds a Masters in Economic Policy from the Central European University and a Bachelor in Applied Economics from ELTE, Budapest.
