Tina has 20 years of professional experience in sustainable development, mainly for the United Nations in place such as Oslo, Nairobi, Ankara, New York, and Beijing, before landing in Istanbul where she has just started a new role as the Regional Programme Chief for the UNDP Regional Bureau for Eurasia. She has solid know-how of development projects and programming and has been fortunate to dig into a wide range of complex challenges and thematic focus; from rule of law, jobs and livelihoods, women’s political participation, migration and refugees, diversity and inclusion, South South Cooperation and development effectiveness. These past years Tina has explored strategic innovation as an enabler for transformation at the local and city level, where she orchestrated the EU-funded Mayors for Economic Growth (M4EG) in the Eastern Partnership, supporting a network of more than 430 cities, half of them in Ukraine. This role has allowed her and a diverse team of colleagues to shape new methodologies in development programming that are human-centered, relational, adaptive, and directly relevant to current challenges. Tina is deeply committed to going beyond business as usual in development, including mentoring a new generation of development practitioners - to work across siloes to design coherent interventions for the transformative changes needed, for today and tomorrow.
