Rojda Tosun is a lawyer, legal designer, and founder of PublicLegalDesign—a transdisciplinary organization that operates within three spheres: the public, the law, and design. Within this intersection lies an often unrecognized “design space” where collaboration is essential to make the law more accessible, understandable, and a lever for sustainable change. PublicLegalDesign works with key stakeholders in this space, including federal ministries and organizations such as the United Nations, to enhance the skillset of those who serve the public, to redesign processes and services with the needs of the public in mind, and to apply design methodologies to make the law more just. Through this work, Rojda aims to create practical solutions that are tailored to real-world needs.
Rojda also leads the Leuphana LawLab, where she teaches students how to apply transformative legal design to issues ranging from regenerative law to artificial intelligence to ecological sustainability with partner organizations.
