Peter Adelskamp

Der Leitende städtische Verwaltungsdirektor und Diplom-Verwaltungswirt (FH) Peter Adelskamp begann seinen beruflichen Werdegang 1985 bei der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf. Er leitete viele Jahre die Abteilung Organisation und IT und war stellvertretender Leiter des Hauptamtes. Im Mai 2017 wurde er der erste Chief Digital Officer (CDO) der Landeshauptstadt. Seine Themenschwerpunkte waren die Digitale Strategie, E-Government, Breitbandausbau und Smart City. Im Januar 2019 wechselte er als Chief Digital Officer zur Stadt Essen, wo er für die Digitalisierung der Verwaltung und die Digitalisierungsstrategie der Stadt zuständig ist. Dazu gehört auch die Schaffung der digitalen Rahmenbedingungen für ein neues BürgerRatHaus, das unter aktuellen und innovativen Aspekten der „Arbeit 4.0“ gestaltet wird. Er ist Mitglied des Kernteams von CONNECTED.ESSEN, der Smart City Initiative der Stadt. Peter Adelskamp berichtet direkt an den Geschäftsbereichsvorstand für Personal und Organisation sowie an den Verwaltungsvorstand der Stadt Essen unter dem Vorsitz des Oberbürgermeisters. _____ The Executive Director and Diplom-Verwaltungswirt (FH) Peter Adelskamp began his professional career in 1985 at the state capital of Düsseldorf, Germany. His main topics were digital strategy, e-government, broadband expansion and Smart City. In January 2019, he moved to the city of Essen as Chief Digital Officer, where he is responsible for digitizing the administration and the digital strategy of the city. This also includes the creation of the digital framework conditions for a new town hall, which will be designed under current and innovative New Work aspects. He is a member of the core team of CONNECTED.ESSEN, the city's Smart City Initiative. Peter Adelskamp reports directly to the Human Resources Director and to the deputies of the City of Essen under the chairmanship of the Lord Mayor.
