Sir Geoff Mulgan is a professor at UCL; has worked at senior roles in governments in several countries, including director of the UK government Strategy Unit and head of policy in 10 Downing Street; run foundations (Nesta and the Young Foundation); set up many organisations, including Action for Happiness and Demos (UK); written a wide range of books (most recently ‘When Science Meets Power’ and ‘Another World is Possible: how to reignite social and political imagination’); and advised many companies, governments and NGOs around the world. His newest book is published in April 2026 – An advanced introduction to public innovation (Edward Elgar). He is a co-founder of TIAL, the Institutional Architecture Lab.
