Pan-African Public Sector Innovation: AU Digital and Innovation Fellowship
13 fellows from 10 different African countries in 8 institutions to foster a culture of digital innovation at the African Union: the AU Digital and Innovation Fellowship is the first supranational initiative to bridge the gap between the digital ecosystem and the African Union.
The challenge? 12 months to strengthen innovation in the African Union. The results? 11 products that make administrative processes more user-centred and effective.
The fellowship is a unique programme designed to inject youthful innovation talent into the African Union. These forward-thinking fellows, armed with creativity and tech prowess, tackle challenges through co-creation and implementation of tailor-made solutions. The fellowship establishes connections between typically disparate entities: seasoned public officials within this supranational organization and innovators. The AU embarked on a transformative journey, changing its approach to collaboration with the dynamic African digital ecosystem.
