Creative Bureaucracy Festival Meets Science

Watch The Programme Here

In the past years we’ve learned about the importance of transdisciplinary exchanges between science and other sectors such as business, politics, the media and society, to collectively create solutions and to tackle the big challenges of our time – the pandemic, AI, education and climate research to name just a few.

To this end, it’s vital that public institutions translate the latest scientific research and innovation into policies, regulations, and market instruments. So how can scientific breakthroughs reach our administrations and our public offices in a way that actually makes a difference? And how can scientific institutions best be managed?

The Creative Bureaucracy Festival seeks to explore these questions. This year, for the first time, we are joining discussions at the Falling Walls Science Summit and Berlin Science Week – two events of our festival partner Falling Walls Foundation!

CBF @ the Science Summit

The Creative Bureaucracy Festival joins the Science Summit, a global and unique forum for important researchers and innovators taking place from 7-9 November in Berlin and discussing breakthroughs with global leaders in science, politics, business, the media and society. And we certainly see the public sector as a vital part of this discussion.

On 8 November, we are hosting a high-level panel within the Background Table format. This is an invitation-based, closed event that aims to encourage honest and open exchanges between panelists and allows for disruptive thinking. All participants actively shape the event by sharing their ideas, questions and solutions.

We will share more information about the speakers and the takeaways from the panel after the event.

CBF @ Berlin Science Week

The Science Summit is part of the annual Berlin Science Week – an event taking place from 1-10 November together with numerous inspiring organisations from Berlin and around the globe. It presents a rich programme that focuses on a diverse and vibrant exchange between those interested in research, science and innovation – digitally and in various locations in Berlin.

The Creative Bureaucracy will join a collaborative discourse about the now and the future of our world. Under the headline “Creative Bureaucracy Festival Meets Science”, we will host daily digital conversations with leading experts on specific topics to take a closer look at the relationship between the public sector and science.
