Our project establishes village accountability dialogues where girls hold village leaders (including government officials, teachers and NGOs) to account through Music, Dance and Drama (MDD) on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) at the village level. Therefore, through this approach, we breakdown the bureaucratic government system that denies girls the opportunity of holding government leaders to account on national policies and programs related to GBV. Through these village accountability dialogues, village leaders are brought together in order to avoid complicated administrative procedures that deny minorities like girls the right to participate in village and national good governance and accountability matters within the country.
