Digital Archipelagos: Connecting Communities
The session will present the Digital Archipelagos: Connecting Communities project, which was developed in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul to ensure that individuals from remote and vulnerable communities have easier access to the services of the Labor Judiciary. The initiative involves setting up digital inclusion sites where equipment and internet connections are provided for accessing these services. This represents an innovation for the public sector, as it overcomes geographical and social barriers by bringing judicial services to distant and vulnerable communities. A distinctive feature of the project is the placement of these sites in community associations, aiming to bring the services of the Labor Judiciary to environments already familiar to the population, thereby enhancing the sense of belonging and citizenship among the beneficiaries.
