Community Voting Winners
We are overwhelmed by the number of inspiring projects from the public sector! A huge thank you to all the creative bureaucrats who shared their great initiatives with us.
In total, more than 90 projects and initiatives were presented by over 150 speakers from 30 countries. This is an incredible diversity and a testament to the innovative power of the public sector.
More than 6,500 votes were cast in the community voting. Many thanks to everyone who took part in the voting!

“KoCampus” – The Evolution of University far Regions [GER]
This project aims to offer solutions for demographic change in villages and utilise the potential of students to create a stronger connection between urban and rural areas.

“SoFinData” – Managing Social Spending Effectively with Good Data [GER]
SoFinData creates a nationwide plan for the efficient management of social expenditure. Its aim is to better track recipients of funds and to record the democratic influence of public funds.

Creative Problem Solving for Communal Challenges [GER]
The Smart City project Laboratory of Creative Minds invites people to develop ideas for urban challenges. It aims to establish a methodological format that connects administration and creative minds through creative working techniques.

Putting the Community at the Center to Provide Safe Water For All
This project delves into the critical issue of water scarcity in the city of Bamenda 1, Cameroon. It aims to shed light on the daily challenges faced due to limited access to clean water and the community-created solutions for this.

Digital Archipelagos: Connecting Communities
The ‘Digital Archipelagos’ project focuses on connecting remote, vulnerable communities outside of urban centres with Labor Judiciary services. In doing so they’re enhancing citizens’ sense of belonging and access to justice.

Pan-African Innovation in Public Sector: AU Digital and Innovation Fellowship
The first ‘African Union Digital & Innovation Fellowship’ united 13 fellows from 10 African countries to foster digital innovation at the African Union. The fellows are leading new product development and catalysing cultural change in the continent’s biggest bureaucracy.
