Your Creative Bureaucracy Festival Checklist
🚂 How do I get there?
The festival will be hosted at Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin, located at Am Flutgraben 2, 12435 Berlin. Found between the underground station Schlesisches Tor and the train station Treptower Park, it offers convenient access via bus, S-Bahn and U-Bahn. Please be aware that parking spaces are not available at the venue.
🎟️ How do I check in onsite?
Upon arrival, you'll find the registration area conveniently located at the entrance. Simply present your ticket QR code for swift check-in. Upon verification, you'll receive your badge and wristband granting you access to all areas and stages. Check-in begins at 8:00 CEST, we recommend that you allow plenty of time to secure your seat at the Opening session.
⏱️ When does the festival start and end?
The festival takes place on Thursday 13 June 2024. Doors will open at 8:00 CEST, followed by our Opening at 9:00 CEST to kickstart the day's events. Expect a full day of engaging programming, culminating in our Closing session, which includes the presentation of this year's awards at 18:00 CEST. Afterwards, don't miss out on our Creative Bureaucrats Night, starting at 19:00 CEST, extending well into the night.
💻 How can I watch the programme online?
If you're unable to join us in person, you can still experience our Impact Stage programme from your own space. Tune in to stream a variety of creative keynotes, chats and panels online. Click here to register for the livestream on our Eventbrite page. Upon booking, you'll receive an email containing the link to access the livestream on our website. Enjoy the event from wherever you are!
🗓️ What's on and who is coming?
We are expecting around 1,700 participants from government, politics, civil society and other changemakers across sectors this year, as well as more than 200 speakers from more than 40 countries. Engage in 83 keynotes, chats, panels, workshops and round tables, alongside various networking opportunities. 🎪 Can I attend all programme sessions?
All stages, forums, and networking areas are accessible to all ticket holders. Please ensure you wear your badge and wristband for entry.
Please note that capacities are limited for the #ProveKafkaWrong cruise sessions. However, attendees of the Opening session at 9:00 CEST will have an opportunity to win a coveted golden ticket, granting access to our cruise and participation in one of the four workshops.
🆕 What's new this year?
New year, new location! We're thrilled to welcome you to our new venue at Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin. Alongside our four new stages (Impact Stage, Connection Stage, Imagination Stage, Transformation Stage), we've expanded further this year to accommodate four interactive forums, including several workshops and round table sessions, as well as more space for partner stands and networking areas for enhanced creativity and collaboration. Also new this year, we invite you to put on your dancing shoes right after the Closing. Celebrate with us and join our Creative Bureaucrats Night to end the day with chats, laughs, music, and games.
🚨 Changes and Updates

The keynote "Transitioning to Democracy After 23 Years of Dictatorship: Tunisia’s Story" scheduled for 13:30 CEST at the Impact Stage has been cancelled. It is now replaced by "How to Not Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste".
Unfortunately, Kjartan Björnsson is unable to attend the session "Better Delivery: The Commission’s Vision for Public Administration Reform" at 15:30 CEST at the Impact Stage. Angelos Binis will hold this keynote instead.
