George Panteli is the first assigned President of the Board of Director of Mo.Re, which is the newly formed in-house consulting company for the Republic of Cyprus. He is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance.
George studied Economics at the Queen Mary College of the University of London and holds Masters degree in Public Sector Management from the Cyprus International Institute of Management. He started his career at KPMG (Cyprus), following employment at the Ministry of Finance, firstly as Economic Officer and then as Director of the Economic Research and European Union Affairs Directorate. At European Union level, he is the Cyprus’ representative in the Economic and Financial Committee and the Eurogroup Working Group and the Eurogroup and ECOFIN meetings. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Stability Mechanism. At a national level, he is the President of the Board of the Cooperative Asset Management Company, a board member of the Natural Gas Public Entity, a board member of the State Hospital Organisation and a member of the Board of Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre. He is also the Head of the Economy Working Group established for negotiating the economic aspects of a settlement to the Cyprus issue.
