Decision Theater™: Data, Science & Design for Tackling Wicked Problems

In collaboration with MPI of Geoanthropology and Arizona State University.

Solutions to complex problems require a strategic approach. The ASU Decision Theater™ organizes researchers, policymakers, the business community and other civic stakeholders to better understand and explore solutions to complex issues facing society. Using data analytics and high-performance computing to drive software-integrated models, DT works with partners from various disciplines to streamline big data and transform it into novel, interactive data visualizations.

By combining a variety of technical capabilities, DT facilitates the collaborative engagement between different groups in the pursuit of comprehensive, useful, data-driven models that build shared understanding and perspectives. Managing the convergence of multiple disciplines, datasets, ways of knowing and approaches to governance is essential to the DT collaboration process.
