The Creative Bureaucracy Awards 2018 - 2024
The Creative Bureaucracy Awards want to reach a wider audience of professionals and citizens to win real interest in public sector innovation and creative bureaucracy. The Award categories celebrate outstanding people – well-known and unknown - whose work reflect urgent topics.
We focus foremost daring innovators within or associated with the public sector: Exceptional individuals making a significant impact in the public sector through innovating governance and goverments to improve lives in different corners of the world.
Our Unsung Heroes are as important to us as the more famous bureaucrats. Unsung heroes are fighters for the common good. Unconventional thinkers. But rarely do they receive the praise they deserve. We want to change this and celebrate them. This is why, every year, the Creative Bureaucracy Festival team identifies people in government or other fields who have made a difference and who have contributed to making the lives of citizens like you and us better.
At each CreativeBureaucracy Festival, we honor these changemakers and innovators with the CreativeBureaucracy Award – a badge of honour for those striving to make good things happen in the public sector but who are overlooked far too often.
We also award heroes in office, governments, research or the public, such as in 2022 Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation, in 2020 Christian Drosten, virologist and Charité professor, or in Geoff Mulgan, former Chief Executive of NESTA.
