Roland Reitberger

Roland is a postdoctoral researcher in the field of complex urban systems, with a strong focus on life cycle assessment, thermal-dynamic building simulation, and the integration of parametric methods to explore interactions within the built environment. He finished his PhD in 2024, following a career path that combines hands-on industry experience with academic research. Since 2020, he has been a research fellow at the Chair of Energy Efficient and Sustainable Design and Building at the Technical University of Munich. Prior to this, he worked as a project manager at Lindner AG in Hamburg, overseeing revitalization projects. Roland holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with a focus on project management. His research is rooted in a holistic understanding of buildings and urban systems, emphasizing synergy effects, environmental simulation, and sustainable transformation in the built environment.
