It's All About People on Every Level

Systems Caring Design is a design framework that seeks to infuse the principles of care ethics—attentiveness, responsiveness, competence, and responsibility—throughout the multiple nested levels of government work, from the individual and team to cross‑departmental collaboration and engagement with external communities and stakeholders. This workshop will guide practitioners in embracing this mindset and using active tools to help center their work in government with care. Workshop participants will also leave with oral histories of civic designers to revisit learnings through the Civic Design Room podcast.
