Exploring New Forms of Governance in Complexity for Green and Just Transitions
The Shared Agendas promoted by the regional Government of Catalonia offer an inspiring example of how the public sector can embrace new approaches, tools and capacities to enable new forms of governance in complexity. By aligning efforts with diverse stakeholders, Shared Agendas aim to address complex, place-based social, economic, and environmental challenges more effectively.
This session will present key insights, learnings, and examples related to:
1. Developing new conceptual frameworks, narratives, and capacities that legitimize innovative tools and approaches in the public sector.
2. Creating spaces for place-based experimentation, learning, validation, scaling, and institutionalization of alternative practices.
3. Forming multi-actor “coalitions of the willing” to drive systemic change for green and just transitions.
