Data to Policy Simplified: Mapping Challenges, Crafting Solutions
This workshop is a high-energy, hands-on experience designed for decision-makers who want to harness the power of data and AI for smarter policymaking. Using real-world problem statements from countries like Mexico and Ghana—such as women’s employment and climate resilience—participants will apply the Data to Policy Navigator framework to turn data into impactful solutions. In small groups, attendees will map data ecosystems, identify gaps, and explore non-traditional data sources (for example social media, satellitle imgaery) to uncover new insights.
Through structured exercises, they will learn how raw data can translate into evidence-based policies that are agile, scalable, and effective in today’s fast-changing world. This session embodies creative bureaucracy—where innovation meets governance—to empower participants with practical, actionable tools to navigate complexity. By the end, they will walk away with a concrete understanding of how to bridge data and policy, ensuring that insights don’t stay theoretical but drive real change in governance and decision-making.
