Yaprak Hamarat

Designer researcher Yaprak is working at the EU Policy Lab since 2022. She develops and conducts creative project processes using data- and context-driven design approaches and experiment with practice-based research in science for policy context. She works often for environmental policies with a focus on implementation phase of policymaking.

After her studies in plastic arts, product, and transport design, she worked in France and Canada in the art and design industry. She organised several underground exhibitions and creative actions in Montreal (2010-2014), held lecturer position at Université de Montréal (2011-2016) and temporary assistant professor position at Université de Nîmes (2016-2017). She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Design from Université de Montréal (2019).
