Winfried Kneip

Winfried Kneip ist Co-Gründer des Programms Love Politics und Vorstandsvorsitzender des deutschen Vereins. Daneben gründete er CommunAid, eine gemeinnützige Organisation zur Stärkung der Resilienz von Kommunen. Nach seiner langjährigen Funktion als Geschäftsführer der Stiftung Mercator Deutschland ist er seit Anfang 2021 als Berater und Projektentwickler in den Bereichen Demokratie, Kultur und Bildung aktiv und als Mitglied im Vorstand des Europäischen Forums Alpbach für die Themen Demokratie, Next Generation und Kunst zuständig.

Winfried Kneip is co-founder of the Love Politics programme and chairman of the board of the German association. He also founded CommunAid, a non-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening the resilience of local communities. Following his long-standing role as Managing Director of the Mercator Foundation Germany, he has been working since early 2021 as a consultant and project developer in the fields of democracy, culture and education, and, as a member of the Executive Board of the European Forum Alpbach, is responsible for the areas of democracy, the next generation and the arts.
