Trinidad Zaldivar

Trinidad Zaldívar is an international consultant specialising in culture and the creative industries. She is the former Head of the Creativity and Culture Unit at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she played a leading role in advancing the cultural and creative industries agenda across Latin America and the Caribbean.
With a PhD and a career spanning academia, the private sector and multilateral development, she has worked at the intersection of culture, public policy, innovation and economic development. At the IDB, she championed cultural and creative industries as drivers of employment, social cohesion, urban development and new forms of public value.
Her work focuses on public funding for culture in Latin America, intersectoral policy dialogue, the post-COVID recovery of the creative industries, the links between tourism and creativity, creative cities, and future-oriented approaches to culture-led development.
