Katharina Schwerdt is an international moderator & MC and public‑sector  consultant specialising in organisational transformation and state modernisation. She supports government institutions in navigating complex change processes and strengthening their strategic and operational capabilities.

Katharina has lived and worked in seven countries across four continents, gaining deep insights into governance systems, public‑sector reform, and cross‑cultural collaboration. As a 2023/2024 Mercator Fellow on International Affairs, she contributed to the work of leading global organisations including Oxfam and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), further expanding her expertise in development cooperation and global public policy.

Katharina holds academic degrees in political and communication science, and non‑profit management. She studied in Germany and Colombia, with a focus on international relations and regional studies.
