Jihee Hwang believes in co-creating futures 'with' people, not for them—grounded in the idea that we are all interconnected, reflections of one another, and in need of more ruthless care. Her work turns this belief into practice by helping organizations find meaning, translate values into decisions, and mobilize collaborative action toward participatory futures. With over 10 years of experience across AI, startups, and public-sector innovation, she works at the intersection of people, technology, and organizations. Her practice spans Seoul’s Design Governance, Köln MeinungsMobil, Civic Innovation Platform and Civic Coding, alongside non-profit projects. She has worked for clients including BMAS, UNICEF, and Science.LU with Superblau. The work strengthens long-term thinking and systemic awareness and has been recognized by the ICT Ministry of Korea and international design awards. Since 2022, Jihee has co-founded and led the Service Design Network Young Talent Board and Service Design Drinks Seoul cultivating spaces for empowerment, provocation, and shared learning. As the founder of Mess & Muse, she designs playgrounds for collective sense-making, collaboration, and action.
