Farmer Tantoh Nforba

Dieudonne Tantoh Nforba, popularly known as Farmer Tantoh, is an Ashoka Fellow and Making More Health Fellow. He is a grassroots environmental activist from Cameroon with 27 years of experience working with children, youths, and low-income farmers on environmental protection, clean water, and sustainable agriculture. He holds a diploma in tropical agriculture from the Regional College of Agriculture in Bambili, Cameroon, with a specialization in spring water catchment protection and agroforestry. He also has a certificate in sustainable agriculture from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, USA, and a certificate on the watersheds of the world from the Tahoe-Baikal Institute.

In 2005, Farmer Tantoh founded the Save Your Future Association, which has since evolved into The Farmer Tantoh Foundation. His story is featured in a children's book titled "I Am Farmer: Growing an Environmental Movement in Cameroon," which is used in elementary schools across the USA and has been translated into French for francophone Africa and Haiti.

Currently, he is the project lead for the Safe Water For All Initiative, which aims to ensure that everyone in the northwest region of Cameroon has access to safe drinking water and sanitation. Additionally, he is establishing an Eco Village in Bamenda city to reconnect city dwellers to ecological lifestyles.
