Eden Tadesse (she/her) is an award-winning entrepreneur, journalist, digital innovator and human rights activist who brings over a decade of experience across the nonprofit and private sectors in Africa, Asia and Europe. She is the Founder of Decolonize Politics, a grassroots campaign dedicated to fostering open dialogue, driving systemic change and building coalitions to dismantle colonial legacies and create lasting equity. Eden also leads Invicta, a digital platform empowering over 40,000 refugees globally with access to remote work, education and mental health support.

Born and raised in Ethiopia, Eden has travelled to over 40 countries and speaks multiple languages, which has shaped her global mindset and unwavering belief that technology and policy should work for everyone. She has worked for governments, Fortune 500 companies and international organisations, including the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the United Nations Office for Project Services. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity in India and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy in Germany.

Her policy interests span labour rights for refugees, development finance for climate action and inclusive digital transformation. Eden is an alumna of fellowships with Stanford University, Salzburg Global and the United Nations, and has been recognised by the Diana Award, UNHCR and the African Union. She also works as a productivity coach, consultant and author, with a strong passion for social justice across the board – from indigenous rights to press freedom. In her spare time, Eden enjoys writing about politics, learning German, and interviewing guests for her climate podcast.
