Niels Jakobsen

Niels is a Creative Partner at CO-PI with a masters degree in social sciences and art history, and a comprehensive public sector background, primarily in social services. At CO-PI Niels is occupied with the political dimension of innovation: What does it take for our elected leaders to boldly venture into the unknown? What is needed to empower the elected to let their authority unfold in new, embolding and liberating ways? And how can we as civil servants assist them in the best possible way? Niels subscribes to a sort of punk Max Weber ideology ad firmly believes in the power of the collective. Niels is seldom seen without colorful markers and notepads (the analogue kind), as he has convinced himself of being unable to think without drawing at the same time. In fact, putting thoughts into pictures is kind of a trademark and an enduring aspiration. Say hi!
