DARP - GERMANY'S RESPONSE TO THE CHALLENGES OF THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS
To mitigate the social and economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, the European Union (EU) has established the recovery instrument Next Generation EU. Through this, the Federal Republic of Germany has access to approximately 25 billion euros for specific measures, including the reduction of investment barriers. The detailed use of these funds is regulated in the German Recovery and Resilience Plan (DARP).
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), PD – Berater der öffentlichen Hand GmbH supports the implementation of this through a departmental research project, focusing on two key measures: efficient funding management and sustainable IT investments in schools. Therefore, the measures of the DARP are aimed at both funding providers and recipients, with the goal of identifying obstacles to the implementation of public investment projects and developing solutions for better utilisation of funding.
The Creative Bureaucracy Festival offers interested parties from all levels of administration the opportunity to discuss insights gained, obstacles identified and good solutions from practice in workshops and panels.
