Päivi Raivio is a Helsinki-based designer working for better and more sustainable public places. She is the co-founder of Parkly, a tool for better public places and urban change. She also works in the creative studio RaivioBumann, which develops placemaking, urban design and public art projects for more social and liveable cities. Their temporary installations and experiments actively research and create inputs for the planning and visioning of sustainable cities.
At Parkly Päivi designs projects and experiments and runs collaborative partnerships. She specializes in participation design, facilitation and creative placemaking. A strong advocate for inclusiveness, Päivi is co-designing places for all, especially children and young people.
Päivi is a leader at Placemaking Europe Network and an active participant in the international placemaking community and a leader in the Placemaking Europe Network.
Päivi is a regular speaker in different events on the intersection of placemaking, creative public art and participation for co-created public places.
