What kind of lives are we really aspiring to? Creative Bureaucrats think twice when designing success metrics. They look beyond easy tested-and-tried approaches and seek out the root causes of social challenges, defining problems and implementing solutions with holistic understandings of health and wellbeing that span the physical to the psychological, social and spiritual.

Redefining a Good Life, from the Crib to the Grave (Mon, 13 Sep, 17:30-17:55): Kennisland tackles complex social problems and we hear about three of their most recent projects from Nora van der Linden: Rethinking what a school can be or what an elderly care home can become and finally how to increase the willingness to report discrimination among the Muslim community.

“Salon of the Good Life” (Wed, 14 Sep, 17:00-18:30): The project “Salon of the Good Life” is dedicated to the question “How do we actually want to live?”. In the opening event on 8 Sep, Kübra Gümüşay invites you to a discussion on “Strife and Being – Future”. How can we nurture a constructive culture of debate on issues that deal with justice aspirations? The recording will be broadcast during our programme on 14 Sep.

Using the Opportunities of Digitalisation for Better Healthcare (Tue, 14 Sep, 15:00-15:25): The German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) has launched the “Digital Health Region of the Future” (ZDG) in Berlin-Brandenburg. The aim of the initiative is to bring digital solutions into practice and to gain knowledge about their use. The session presents the ZDG’s first successes.
