Lene Krogh Jeppesen has worked with innovation and knowledge sharing in the Danish public sector for 10+ years. Lene is responsible for CO-PI’s work on evaluating innovation, wicked problems, and also a strong advocate and river for collaboration with national Nordic actors on public innovation. She has previously worked with innovation, knowledge sharing and social media in SKAT (the Danish Customs and Tax Administration) and in the City of Copenhagen. Lene believes that curiosity towards and involvement of multiple perspectives creates a better public sector. She grew up in Als, very close to Germany, and is a big yoga enthusiast, which, however, is kept in check by a penchant for high heels and red wine. Lene has an MSc in sociology from The University of Copenhagen to which she’s added knowledge on project management and narrative and systemic consultation.

Henrike Arlt spricht als zweite Fremdsprache Verwaltungsdeutsch und ist Innovationspionierin für Öffentliches Gestalten.
Sie ist seit dem ersten Creative Bureaucracy Festival dabei und gestaltet es seit 2019 aktiv mit. Obwohl Henrike seit Ende letzten Jahres nicht mehr im öffentlichen Sektor arbeitet, bleibt sie im Herzen eine kreative Bürokratin. Ihren 15 jährigen Erfahrungsschatz bei einer deutschen Bundesbehörde setzt sie ein, um die unterschiedlichen Bedürfnisse und Notwendigkeiten sichtbar zu machen, die sich in Verwaltungsorganisationen bei Transformationsprojekten ergeben. Mit Politics for Tomorrow entwickelt Henrike unter anderem Lernprogramme für und mit den Menschen im öffentlichen Dienst.
Ihre Expertise für Verwa(ndl)(lt)-ungen hat sie uns letztes Jahr auch für das gewisse Extra im Festivalfeeling mitgebracht – ihre Seifenblasenkunst!

Niklas Kossow is a project manager for Smart City projects at the CityLAB Berlin, a project of the Technologiestiftung Berlin. In his role he works on coordinating a large-scale public participation process, involving citizens and stakeholders in writing Berlin’s new smart city strategy.

Before working with CityLAB Berlin, Niklas completed his PhD on digital tools in the fight against corruption at the Hertie School in Berlin. He worked as a freelance consultant with the GIZ, Transparency International, Freedom House and the UNDP. He is interested in how digital technologies are transforming our lives and how we can use them to make life in cities more sustainable, enjoyable and cooperative. He strongly believes in the power of citizen participation as a transformative force for governments.

Tabea Hein entwickelte viele Jahre im großstädtischen Kontext Ideen für Reformen, innovative Konzepte und deren Umsetzung zur digitalen Transformation öffentlicher Verwaltung. Als Wirtschaftsinformatikerin, KI-Managerin und zertifizierte Chief Digital Officer hat sie 2020 zusammen mit Co-Autor Dr. Götz Volkenandt einem ihrer Hobbys ein Buch gewidmet: der künstlichen Intelligenz in Smart Cities. Nach Abschluss des ersten EU-geförderten KI-Masterstudiengangs „AI4Gov“ der Polytechnischen Universitäten Madrid und Mailand lehrt sie derzeit als Academic Teacher der IU Internationale Hochschule im Masterstudiengang Public Management zu neuen Technologien, neuen Arbeitsformen, Smart City/Smart Region und KI und Gesellschaft. Sie engagiert sich als Mentorin und in Arbeitskreisen der öffentlichen Verwaltung; sie ist Speakerin, Gast in Podcasts und auf Podien sowie Autorin und Mitglied des Forschungsnetzwerks Bessere Rechtsetzung und Bürokratieabbau, IAW e. V. an der Universität Tübingen.

Jon Soske, a person in long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, is an activist, community organizer, researcher and systems designer whose work spans grass roots mutual aid to the political philosophy of the Global South and international development. Jon’s overarching concern is developing new solutions to the institutional paralysis that plays a critical role in what is increasingly called “crisis multiplication” or the “global polycrisis.” He is also interested in the centrality of science, especially social science, to democracy across its many guises.

In his current research, Jon is tackling the classic “large world” versus “small world” problem from Bayesian decision theory–is it possible to make rational decisions in conditions of radical uncertainty? He is approaching this question through the method of “systems mapping from below,” based on ongoing community-engaged research and ethnographic work with community health workers and peer recovery specialists.

Laura Kromminga ist seit 2021 Referentin für Soziale Ökonomie in der Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe. Dort kümmert sie sich um die Stärkung des Ökosystems für Soziale Unternehmen, insbesondere durch das Projekt Social Economy Berlin. Zuvor war sie bei PD, der Inhouse Beratung der deutschen Verwaltung. Dort hat sie Themen wie Wirkungsorientierung beraten, z.B. in der Evaluation des Wirkungsorientierten Haushaltes der Hansestadt Hamburg. Ihr Hintergrund liegt im Sozialen Unternehmertum, insbesondere bei Themen der Skalierung und Finanzierung. Vor der Arbeit in und mit der Verwaltung war sie bei betterplace.org, einem Sozialunternehmen, und Ashoka, einem der weltweit größten Netzwerke für Soziale Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer. Als Coach und Gastdozentin unterstützt sie zudem Start-Ups und Studierende sich in der Welt des „Impact“ zurecht zu finden.
