Tax and Transparency: The Treasury Map Approach
Mapa do Tesouro (Treasury Map) is a project of transparency in the public budget and in the analysis of its destinations allowing the availability through didactic strategies (“Simple Language”) of the financial, accounting and tax information of the municipality of Salvador (Bahia/Brazil) to the taxpayer. The positive results achieved were Transparency on tax information, and approximation of the citizen with the tax authorities. Examples of deliveries were the Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, regulation of the tax policy council, communication strategy based on booklets and social networks, and, periodic publications on Salvador Treasury and Finance Secretariat social networks.
