Transforming Lives, Transforming Organisations: Unlocking Creativity and Collaboration in the Public Sector

Luana Faria, Isabela Blumm, Julio Medeiros

2023 Education & Employment English Organisational Culture & Governance

In a political climate marked by polarization and low trust in government institutions, the role of public servants becomes even more crucial. This is where LA-BORA! gov steps in, a learning and innovation lab in the Brazilian government that harnesses the power of behavioral science to improve the employee experience. By embracing a new approach to public service, we are connecting civil servants and redefining the relationship between government and employees, creating public value for society. Through experimentation, human-centered design, and capacity building, our team helps public servants build trust, foster positive emotions, and promote collaboration in the workplace, leading to improved performance and accountability. Be a part of the solution and help public servants become the driving force behind a more responsive and inclusive government!

Luana Faria

As a psychologist and public servant, I specialize in workplace interventions for public employees. Drawing on the principles of behavioural science, I design simple and cost-effective solutions to help employees translate their personal intentions into actions. I am committed to making a positive impact in the public sector by applying evidence-based approaches to promote personal and professional growth in the workplace. I work for the future of the Civil Service, ensuring we have great people, new ideas and better outcomes across Government. My goal is to support organizations to create the best experiences for employees and win the hearts of people.
